fundamentals of watercolor
Enjoy the love for color and nature while learning different watercolor painting techniques. Explore color, materials, forms, and the environment while having fun. Be prepared to experience the outdoors during this course. Materials are included. No experience necessary.

Artwork will be displayed at the West Cook YMCA from September 7th through September 17th.
about the instructor
Dolores Mercado (b. Jalisco, Mexico) studied art at The School of Visual Arts of the University of Guadalajara, the National Institute of Fine Arts “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City, and has also taken courses at “The San Carlos Academy” from the National Autonomous University (UNAM) in Mexico City, and The School of Video of the University of Guadalajara. For the past twenty-two
years, she has taught art in different mediums for children, teenagers and adults. She has exhibited in Mexico, Spain, the United States, Nicaragua and Canada. Her work is part of several museums’ collections in the United States and Mexico.
