Teens

Teen Night -  YF610
On Fridays, teens ages 12-17 can come to the YMCA to participate in character-building activities in a supervised environment. Parents/guardians must sign-up teens one time per session. If not registered, teens will not be able to participate. Teens must bring a lock for their belongings. All coats, hats, bags, etc., MUST be locked in locker rooms and are not allowed to be kept in the gyms.

Teen Leaders Club -  YF630
The Teen Leaders Club focuses on promoting community action within  the teen population at the YMCA.  A great opportunity to grow as individuals, members of the Teen Leaders Club are given the chance to meet local leaders in government, education, sports and entertainment. With an emphasis on service, the club empowers teens with the chance to develop and plan future events, make decisions and direct their peers and elders to help create the success of teen programs. The club is designed for boys and girls ages 12-17. Officers are elected each year by members of the club and elected officers are then responsible for governing the club’s weekly meetings. Teens are welcome to discuss issues relating to growing up in today’s world with their peers during meetings and are encouraged to work with each other to create volunteer opportunities, get involved in community issues and seek out new solutions to everyday problems. Members of the Teen Leaders Club will carry a club ID and receive priority when space in a class or event is limited. Teen leaders also receive one free hour each of computer and tutoring time per week in our Community Learning Center, to be used for educational purposes.
