HEALTHY AGING ENRICHMENT
THe Beauty of Collage
We invite you to join us in this fun and creative art workshop while expressing yourself through different collage techniques. Cut, glue, draw, and paint while playing with color, composition, patterns, and textures. No experience necessary. Materials are included, but we invite you to bring old magazines and photographs to include in your personal projects.
DATES: March 15 – May 31 (no class April 12 and May 10)
TIME: Sundays, 1:30-3:00pm
COST: $125 per participant, includes materials
This class is open to adults 62 years and up. Space is limited to 10 participants
about the instructor
Dolores Mercado (b. Jalisco, Mexico) studied art at The School of Visual Arts of the University of Guadalajara, the National Institute of Fine Arts “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City, and has also taken courses at “The San Carlos Academy” from the National Autonomous University (UNAM) in Mexico City, and The School of Video of the University of Guadalajara. For the past twenty-two years, she has taught art in different mediums for children, teenagers and adults. She has exhibited in Mexico, Spain, the United States, Nicaragua and Canada. Her work is part of several museums’ collections in The United States and Mexico.
