TEEN/ADULT/Senior SWIM LESSONS
Learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by increasing your comfort in the water and developing forward water movement.
For those who know basic swimming fundamentals and are ready to learn additional water safety skills and build stroke techniques.
Experience the benefits of water resistance to improve cardiovascular ability, strength, balance and flexibility. Water fitness classes are for individuals of every age, held in both shallow and deep water. All classes are led by our YMCA-certified water fitness instructors. Participants do not need to know how to swim but should be comfortable in the water.
SHALLOW WATER FITNESS
This is a low to moderate intensity low-impact total body workout that takes place in the shallow end of the pool. Participants do not need to know how to swim;
DEEP WATER EXERCISE
This is a moderate to high intensity workout that takes place in deep depths of water in the pool. Participants can increase their range of motion using non impact movements for an overall cardio and strength workout. A flotation device is provided.
