Personal training is the most supported and curated experience in fitness. Whether you need a check-up here and there or regular motivation and structure, our personal trainers are here to help you. Personal training is also available for kids and groups by request. Please contact us at fitness@westcookymca.org for more information. 

Certified personal trainers are available at convenient times to give you individual attention. Each package contains an initial Fitness Consultation to determine your goals and what each session will include. Sessions are 60 or 30 minutes in length. 

PERSONAL TRAINING INTRODUCTORY SALE

Personal training sessions expire 1 year after purchase. Payment options are available if needed.

REGISTER AND SCHEDULE YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION 

 

REGISTRATION (FIRST STEP):

  • Select the personal training session that suits your needs and REGISTER ONLINE HERE. You can also register in person by visiting the Member Engagement Desk or by phone by calling 708.383.5200

SCHEDULE YOUR SESSIONS (SECOND STEP):

  • Once you have registered for your Personal Training Session(s). Please click on the reservation button at the top of the website and make your personal training session reservations. 
  • Reservations can be made 4 weeks in advance. All reservations close 24 hours in advance.
  • There are no refunds for sessions not cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours.
  • If availability within the system does not meet your availability, please email fitness@westcookymca.org to request alternative days and times.

 


FITNESS CONSULTATION 

Whether you’re new to the fitness scene or a seasoned veteran, we can offer you one-on-one support when it comes to personal fitness.  Our personal trainers can offer assistance with Fitness Consultations, Wellness Center Orientations and Personal Training.  We’re here to help you create a personalized plan for success. We’re here to help you meet your goals! Whether you are looking for guidance on how to get started, advice on what to do next, or an in-depth fitness assessment, we want to assist you in reaching your health goals. All fitness consultations may include the following three things:

One-on-one Meeting with a Personal Trainer:  This meeting will allow our personal trainers to help you determine your goals and the best way to achieve those goals through the programs at the West Cook YMCA.

FREE Fitness Assessment:  This assessment will include analysis on body composition, blood pressure, cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and flexibility.  This assessment will allow you to better understand where you are in your healthy lifestyle journey and areas in which you can begin to set goals and improve your health.

Wellness Center Orientation:  The Personal Trainer will give you an overview of the Wellness Center and the equipment, as well as information on the programs that interest you.

Register for your FREE Fitness Consultation at the Member Engagement Desk. Members are entitled to two Fitness Consultations per year. 

 


Free Wellness Center Orientation (ages 10-15)

Youth participants will learn the basics of using cardio machines and a select number of strength machines.  All Youth ages 10-15 are REQUIRED to have a Wellness Center Orientation prior to using the equipment.  12-15 year olds may then use the Wellness Center on their own, and 10-11 year olds must have a parent or guardian (18+) with them. Children under 16 may not use the Free Weights Area unless working with a Y Personal Trainer.  Sign up at the Membership Engagement Desk for your orientation. Parent/guardian must accompany child at orientation.

  1. Click on the reservation button at the top of the page
  2. Search by "Fitness Consult/Wellness Center Orientation"
  3. Choose the day and time that best fits your schedule
