As a Y member, you have full access to the general Y facilities and digital content through Y360 and the mobile app. We offer many classes every session at no additional charge to members, as well as premium classes and programs to help you find your niche at the Y!

PROGRAM MEMBER:

Any age member of a program without full membership benefits. Access only to the class location and locker room on the day and during the time of the paid class. Use of facility by family members of Program Members is not permitted.

INVESTMENT FEE

The Investment Fee is a one-time fee upon membership activation that helps us provide all the programs and services to our community. The Investment Fee helps us keep our building safe and operational as well as helps us support various community needs.

Your membership at the West Cook Y includes the following facilities and benefits:

  • Two complimentary personal fitness consultations each year
  • Guest passes to bring up to two guests (or if household membership two families) to join them when in the facility. Each guest can have up to four complimentary visits in a year if accompanied by a West Cook YMCA in good standing.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

The first month of membership is due at the time of sign up at a prorated amount. Your membership dues can be paid in one of two ways:

  • Monthly Automatic Draft. Under this plan, an automatic charge will occur on the first of the month, beginning with your first full month of membership. You may choose to draft from your checking or savings account, or a debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). Your monthly dues continue as long as you are a member. You may discontinue your monthly draft by signing a membership cancellation form or emailing [email protected] from the primary account holder's email address, at least 10 business days prior to the next automatic draft.
  • Annual Payment. Annual payments in full may be paid by using cash, check, or major credit card. 

Please Note: If your draft information changes (your current card expires, account number changes, card is stolen, etc.), please notify us to avoid an additional bank-generated $10 fee for a declined account.

*Primary Member: The adult on the membership account responsible for payment and all changes to a membership. There can be only one primary member per account. However, it can be changed with documentation.

MEMBER STATUS CHANGES

Changes to your membership—including additions or deletions of individuals, or name and address changes—can only be made by the primary member.* Any changes can be processed at the Member Engagement Desk, and limited changes can be made online at www.westcookymca.org. Verification of certain information may be required prior to processing the request.  

MEMBERSHIP CARD

When you join the Y, you will be issued a membership card. Your membership card MUST be brought with you every time you come to the Y. Having your card with you grants you access to the facility and ensures your safety. Replacement fee for a lost card is $5. Individuals falsifying cards or allowing others to use their card will be subject to membership suspension or termination.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

THE ARMED SERVICES, YMCA AND DEFENSE OUTREACH INITIATIVE

The Y is proud to serve our community by offering eligible military families and personnel who may not have access to a nearby military facility Y memberships. To determine your eligibility, please follow these steps:

  • Contact Military OneSource at www.militaryonesource.mil or 1-800-342-9647 to confirm eligibility and receive an eligibility form.
  • Contact the Member Engagement Desk and request the YMCA Military Outreach Paperwork.

WORKPLACE WELLNESS

MEMBERSHIP FEE REFUNDS

Membership Fees and Investment Fees are non-refundable. However, we will assist you in transferring to another Y if requested. Members who move their memberships between Ys may have a portion of their Investment Fee waived by the other Y if membership is not interrupted (but please call to verify with your new Y).

WEST COOK YMCA MEMBER GUEST PASSES

All West Cook YMCA Members now have the additional privilege of bringing up to two guests (or if household membership two families) to join them when in the facility. Each guest can have up to four complimentary visits in a year if accompanied by a West Cook YMCA member in good standing. If not accompanied by a West Cook YMCA member, or have used the four passes in the year, then a Day pass would be available.

DAY PASSES

The West Cook YMCA is open to guests and community members to purchase a day pass. These day passes will allow you access to the facility and be a member for the day. Any amenities and programs typically complimentary in a West Cook YMCA membership would be available to you for the day.

Day Pass Fees:

  • Youth (age 0-12) & Senior (age 62+); fee $10
  • Teen (age 13-17) & Young Adult (age 18-25); fee $15
  • Adult (age 26-61); fee $20
  • Family; fee $40
As a part of our Praesidium Accreditation and commitment to safety, all guests, Day Pass users, and Nationwide Members will need to complete the below steps prior to entry to the facility:
  • Complete a Facility Waiver
  • Show a valid picture ID
  • Complete Safety Screener
  • Register for guest or day pass accordingly
