INDOOR MINI TRIATHLON

What is a PR Triathlon? 
 
You will complete the following distances in each category at any time starting February 21 and submit their best time for each by March 7. You will compete in the following categories: swim, bike and run, and can do so over and over again until achieving their best time.
 
Since this event is in-house, you will complete each section at the Y.
 
Distances:
Swim in our West Cook YMCA pool: ½ mile (35 lengths)
Bike on our West Cook YMCA stationary bikes: 10 miles
Run on our West Cook YMCA track or treadmills: 1 mile (24 laps on our track)
 
We have multiple Participation options, all the proceeds of which go toward our WCY Scholarship fund. We will also have T-Shirts for sale in the Jotform as well!
 
You can compete individually, doing all three disciplines by themselves, or as a team of three where each person competes in a different discipline.
 
You can also attend training sessions with Ila and Bruce to get tips and tricks on your technique for each category. See below for the days and times for each coaching session:
 
Group Swim Coaching Session with Ila
Saturday, February 21 11:30am-12:30pm in the pool
Swim in a group of fellow participants and get tips from Associate Aquatics Director Ila on how to improve your stroke and swim faster!
 
Group Bike Coaching Session with Bruce
Monday, February 23 5:15-6:00pm in Spin Cycle Studio
Bike in a group of fellow participants and get tips and advice on technique and training from our Lead Fitness Instructor Bruce!
 
Group Run Coaching Session with Bruce
Thursday Feb 26 5:00pm-5:45pm on treadmills located on the Wellness Floor
Do a group training session with fellow participants and learn from our Lead Fitness Instructor Bruce how to run faster and more efficiently to maximize your result!
 
We are also offering a Lazy Mini Triathlon option - for those that would like to support but do not want to swim, bike, or run! This option is essentially a donation and comes with a Lazy Mini Triathlon T-Shirt.
