NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP

ANOTHER GREAT REASON TO JOIN THE WEST COOK YMCA

We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace, or in another region. West Cook YMCA Members have the flexibility to use other Y facilities throughout the nation, at no extra charge.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Visitors from other YMCA Associations that participate in Nationwide Membership will need to bring both a valid YMCA membership card and photo ID (driver’s license, State I.D. etc.) upon their first visit and complete the Nationwide Waiver.
  • If your Membership Unit is not found in the Nationwide System Portal, you may still be able to participate, by sharing additional information.
    • Complete a background check safety screener
      • Will need to share, full name, birthdate, city, state, and zip code
    • Complete the Guest Waiver
    • YMCA team member will call the home Y association to confirm you are in good standing

NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS

  • The YMCA’s Reciprocal Membership Program is valid for YMCA Members only. Program Members may upgrade to a West Cook YMCA membership at any time to qualify.
  • A YMCA Member’s home YMCA designation and subsequent monthly membership rate will be determined by which Y the member uses 51 percent of the time. Participating YMCAs reserve the right to restrict facility or program access. Other restrictions and exclusions may apply.
  • YMCA Members from other Y's may register for programs at the West Cook YMCA as a member, taking advantage of discounted program fees for members.
  • Nationwide Members do not have the ability to use guest passes for non members at non-home YMCA locations.
